07.30: Begin our descent to Besakih
Temple, the finishing point of our trek. (minimum 4 hours trekking)
13:00–13:15: Arrival at Besakih Temple and boarding
car/mini-bus.

from hotel to climb Mount Batur
05.00-09.00: Journey to the peak takes nearly 2 hours.
If we feel more adventurous, then you could extend the journey to see more part
of Bali around Mount Batur as commonly classified by local as short trips,
medium trips and long trips. The longer the trips the higher guide charge will
be
SHORT TRIPS,
Starting the journey from the first
point or the parking area at 04.00 in the morning which takes approximately 2 hours until the peak
MEDIUM TRIP
After breakfast then we continue
traveling around the main crater, this trip will be take half hour to an hour, walk around in the rim of the
mean crater, also this trip is the most beautiful can see activities of human
around mount batur.
LONG TRIP
This tour takes one hour from the main crater sunrise or servant, to the new crater
is a crater where the last eruption of the year 2000. many points of interest
surrounding this tour such as: Hot Steam, Crakling Stone, Sulfur, Slide Dawn,
Moon Land Sceep and many hectare of black larva.
12.00: Check out from hotel and take
transport to Kuta which would take approximately 2 hours.

transport to Denpasar airport
Alternatively we could
climb mt batur first as that is less physically demanding than Mt Agung that
would give us more time to acclimatise with local weather and to have enough
rest but this will limit the time for sightseeing at Kuta. Other
alternative is to extend this tentative for 5 days, more to see and more relaxing
When to Climb
We can’t climb Mount Agung on the following date due to
religious ceremonies held at the Pura Besakih temple:
Purnama kelima (during the 5th
full moon night) for 11 days
Purnama kedasa (during the 10th
full moon night) for 11 days
Buda Wage Kulantir for 5 days
For 2013 the ceremonies fall on normal calendar year as:
- Purnama Kedasa (it was on 25
March 2013), the next one will be next year.
- Purnama Kelima will be on 17
November 2013, total ceremony procession for 11 days. (close dates : 17 -
27 Nov 2013)
- Buda Wage Kulantir will be on 4
September 2013, total 5 days proccession (4 - 8 September 2013).
From November till January is wet season.. It might be not
advisable to climb
