This parang I bought at morning market of Tamu Kota Belud . This kind of Parang is widely used by people of Kota Belud to venture through rainforest jungle and shrub for their need and farming. Its balde is slightly heavy on the front edge; but that is what it suppose to be for maximun use in chopping and cutting timber. Its feel balance, its blade made of quality steel and quite sharp too. made slashing not only branches, but young thorny rattan leaves and root so easy because that is the most difficult part of trekking in rainforest is.

    raven, i bought this one while on vacation and expedition in SABAH, don't cost much.. less than RM50 if not mistaken
